gayer 是形容词 gay 的比较级，常见两种含义：

The room looks gayer with fresh flowers.
有了鲜花，这个房间看起来更明快、更有生气。
After the long winter, the town felt gayer, filled with music, light, and people on the streets.
漫长的冬天过后，小镇显得更欢快：街头满是音乐、灯光与人群。
gay 原义多指“快乐的、轻快的、色彩明亮的”，来自古法语 gai（欢乐的、活泼的）。后来在现代英语中逐渐发展出与同性恋相关的常用义；gayer 作为比较级，也会随语境表达“更快乐/更明快”或“更同性恋相关”的含义。
