If you've upgraded to Mac OS X Yosemite (10.10) and you're using the default settings, each time you start typing in Spotlight (to open an application or search for a file on your computer), your local search terms and location are sent to Apple and third parties (including Microsoft).

Mac OS X has always respected user privacy by default, and Mac OS X Yosemite should too. Since it doesn't, you can use the code to the left to disable the parts of Mac OS X which are invasive to your privacy.

如果是国内公司这么搞，肯定要被大肆批判一番，不过是苹果的话，那一定是好的！

说的是你在搜索框里面打的字会发送到苹果的服务器上，哪来的“软件启动信息”。

不过既然说到这个，iOS 8 里面的 spotlight 也是会用 bing 来搜索 web 内容的，我把这项关了。

关于 Spotlight 建议与隐私：

使用 Spotlight 时，您的搜索查询项、选择的 Spotlight 建议以及相关的用量数据将会发送给 Apple。在 Mac 上找到的搜索结果将不会发送。如果在 Mac 上打开了“定位服务”，系统会将使用 Spotlight 进行搜索查询时 Mac 的位置信息会发送给 Apple。常用词语和短语的搜索将会由 Apple 转发给 Microsoft 的“必应”搜索引擎。Microsoft 不会储存这些搜索。发送给 Apple 的位置信息、搜索查询项和使用信息仅会由 Apple 使用，目的是让 Spotlight 建议更加相关和改善其他 Apple 产品和服务。

如何关闭 Spotlight 建议与隐私？

您可以关闭 Spotlight 建议。方法很简单：在 Mac 的“系统偏好设置”中找到“Spotlight”偏好设置面板，然后在“搜索结果”标签中，取消选择“Spotlight 建议”和“必应 Web 搜索”复选框即可。

您可以关闭 Spotlight 建议的“定位服务”（位于 Mac 的“系统偏好设置”中的“隐私”面板），方法是点按“系统服务”旁边的“详细信息”，然后取消选择“Spotlight 建议”。
