请教英语好的各位，“亲爱的买家”这句应该是“Dear buyer”还是“Dear customer”？（自己小网店用）

想开面向国外的小网店，平台是亚马逊 etsy 一类的，结果一些简单的网店用语就让自己的初级英语犯难了。

找人或国内网上查的翻译不是很教条就是很过时。

想请教各位英语棒棒哒 V 友们。

1.“亲爱的买家”这句是不是应该用“ Dear buyer ”，“ Dear customer ”是不是太机械了，应该是大公司才用的吧？

可在以下 15 种绳子色号中任选两个颜色自由搭配。 拍下时备注所需色号即可。例如： 1+8 或 9+10 双色款的绳子颜色与单色款一致，绳子效果请参考单色款。

一热心同事帮我翻译的是：

There are strings in 154 colors identified by numbers (see below picture) available for you to choose. You may choose any two of them you like to match. Color numbers need to be noted when you place an order. For example, 1+8 or 9+10. Colors of double color strings are the same with single color ones. Please view single color for reference.

二选一的话 customer 。用户有可能只看看不一定买，我人在国外没看到 dear buyer 的说法

别太标准，那样外国人会以为你只是他们自己国人在卖，会失去些异乡感。参考路边的卖羊肉串的，有标准口音的是比较安全的选择。。。

第三个翻译不算很好，虽然我也给不出很好的翻译……

比如 choose 在短时间内出现了两次，实际上第一个 to choose 删掉也完全不会影响语义。 There are 作为句子的开头有些怪，不如说 We have strings in as much as 154 colors, which are represented by color number (see below picture). You are free to choose any two of them. Just note us when you place your order.

Dear+各种 相对比较正式。如果是一对一私下交流， hi,hello 之类的就可以了

优衣库天天放“ Dear customer...”。
还有你同事的英语，真敢‘热心’啊。日常口语少用 There be...。 后边的大段句子基本全是中式英语直译。例如 be the same with ，真是敢硬来……有道词典都翻译不出来。

1. Dear customers (除非你在 eBay 上，见过用 buyer) 。商品介绍里没必要用 greeting 。

2. Thank you for supporting <BRAND NAME> along the way, and we hope that you are enjoying out products. Your feedback helps to improve our products and services, and we'd greatly appreciate if you could take your time leaving one. （这时候要求他们做点什么来继续关注你们） We'd also like to invite you to subscribe to our mailing list/come back soon for our latest product additions.

尽量避免中译英，因为不同语言之间并非是一一对应的，将中文语言习惯带入英文本身就等于人为增加阅读障碍，强译的结果只会更糟，最好直接写。

buyer or customer 是针对彼此关系来决定的

比如你开了个店，来你店的人是买你的东西的，所以他们是你的 customer
即使你是去店里进货的（买手），对于商品来说你是 buyer ，但对于店你仍然是 customer

同样，产品中的卡片 customer's xxx 往往是跟 退货、保修、或者使用产品的反馈相关，意思是你跟这个产品的销售方、制造方的事，因为你是他们的 customer
而 buyer's xxx 则是指导你使用这个产品的，因为你是这个产品的 buyer

所以，除非消费者买的是你本人，否则，即使是购买你的服务，都应该用 customer

日常情况较少会用的 buyer ，啥时候会用呢
比如说我刚买的这个顶级牛逼的路由器 Linksys WRT1900ACS
这时候广告上印刷就应该是：北美第一 buyer's choice 牛逼路由器，这里就不应该用 customer
customer's choice 意思是评价好，服务好，退换货方便之类。
